His Mission: To help "EASE THE BURDEN-FIND THE CURE"

Please join us in congratulating our very own Don Bradway on his recent appointment as President of the Hampton Roads Chapter of the American Parkinson Disease Association.

Parkinson’s disease is a progressive disorder of the central nervous system affecting more than 1.5 million Americans.  APDA is a national organization whose goal is to “EASE THE BURDEN-FIND THE CURE” for Parkinson’s disease. The local chapter of APDA is involved with support of people with Parkinson’s disease and their caregivers, education of the local community, and fund raising for national research initiatives and Parkinson Information and Referral Centers.

Don has been a Hampton Roads resident since 1974 and he has been involved in the local non-profit community for over 30 years.  His volunteer and Board leadership experience, combined with his experience in small business, positions him well to help the Hampton Roads chapter of the APDA further its missions. For information about Parkinson’s Disease and/or chapter activities, please visit www.hrparkinsons.com  or contact Don at info@hrparkinsons.com

The Virginia Beach Beacon interviewed Don for this recent "Close-up" article that ran on Thursday, October 18.
