Virginia Beach, VA, July
15, 2013 (N00178-08-D-5636-FK01
& FK02) – Valkyrie Enterprises, LLC, a leading maritime engineering and
sustainment provider, announced today that it was awarded two contracts to
provide engineering support services for The Board of Inspection and Survey
(INSURV) at Joint Expeditionary Base, Little Creek, Virginia Beach, VA. Each
award is for a base period of 12 months, with two one-year option periods.
The Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV) was
established to advise the Secretary of the Navy (SECNAV) in matters concerning
the acceptance of newly commissioned ships and the suitability of active fleet
units for further service. Additionally, the board is required by law with
keeping the CNO informed of the material condition of the operating forces.
That is done through appropriately scheduled ship inspections. The President of
the Board of Inspection and Survey is assisted by such officers and such permanent
and semi-permanent boards as may be designated by SECNAV.
Support services to be performed include supporting the Fleet
Commander’s Annual Plan and INSURV’s inspection process by providing
engineering support to include: planning, data collection, analysis, and
synthesis for the development of common assessment procedures. Additional
services include supporting the execution of each assigned ship system Audit
Plan and the planning of new audits to determine material readiness or validity
of proposed maintenance programs. Other services include support for the administration of all facets of the Board’s strategic
improvement program and supporting Projects/Planned Actions.
“Valkyrie
has worked in support of INSURV for nearly six years and we are proud to be
able to continue to do so under these prime contracts. We strive to provide INSURV and all our
customers with stellar service while carrying out their missions in support of
our great nation,” said Gary Lisota, President and CEO of Valkyrie Enterprises.
Congratulations, Team!
